Your responsibilities as a Fundraising and Special Events Assistant will include:
- Provide administrative support for special events including registration, guest seating plans, silent auction and boutique preparations, event set up, coordination, and follow up
- Assist with processing donations and communicating with donors
- Enter and update information in the database
- Maintain accurate records, calendars, expenses, and donations
- Support in-house events including a back to school picnic, holiday party, volunteer recognition, donor, and children’s events
To qualify, you must have a bachelor’s degree. In addition, you must have:
- Well-developed customer service and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and follow through
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn the Raiser’s Edge donor software
- Experience designing flyers in Publisher and Adobe a plus
- The ability to lift up to 20 pounds during event set up and breakdown
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- The ability to work nights and weekends, as needed
