Respite Services for Parents & Caregivers
Many parents and caregivers of children with developmental disabilities report feelings of isolation and are unable to participate in social and recreational activities. We understand that all of your focus is on your child, but parents and caregivers also need time to relax and renew. We provide a few hours, a full day or an extended stay of respite.
Whether you need a few hours, an evening, a full day or weekend or even a full two weeks during the year, our respite services allow parents and caregivers a much-needed opportunity to relax or spend quality time with friends and family, knowing that their child is safe and having fun with his or her friends at the Ability Center. With our fully gated campus and awake staff 24 hours, you child is supervised at all times. And if you wish you are welcome to call and check in at any time. Respite provides an opportunity for your child to learn greater independence and make friends while you are getting the time that you need.
